01About Nelo

Nelo - Chat & Video is a mobile communication app for real-time messaging, profile discovery, and video calls with people you choose to connect with. This notice describes how MALCOLM WINCHESTER ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you use Nelo (application ID com.nelo.breezewalk) on supported clients, including Android and iOS in-app browsers.

03Purposes of Processing

• Service delivery — register accounts and provide chat, video, matching, and social features on Nelo
• Safety enforcement — identify CSAM, CSAE, fraud, spam, harassment, and other policy violations
• Account integrity — safeguard credentials, limit abuse, and maintain platform stability
• Legal compliance — satisfy regulatory, tax, and lawful disclosure requirements
• User assistance — respond to support tickets, privacy inquiries, and deletion requests
• Product analytics — analyze aggregated usage to improve features, reliability, and performance

04Categories of Personal Data

Registration & account

• Email, optional phone number, hashed password, date of birth, and internal user identifier
• Verification codes and account-recovery details

Profile & identity

• Display name, handle, avatar, profile photo, and bio text you provide
• Optional demographic or preference fields you choose to share

Device & technical

• Device model, OS version, app build, locale, and time zone
• Device identifiers, advertising ID, and crash diagnostics
• IP address, network type, session timestamps, and server logs

Messaging

• Text threads, read status, timestamps, voice notes, and file attachments

Video sessions

• Call metadata such as duration, participants, and connection quality
• User-initiated captures or uploads — we do not record calls without consent where prohibited by law

Media you upload

• Photos, videos, and other content you send or publish within Nelo

Payments (if used)

• Transaction metadata from payment partners — full payment card numbers are not stored by us

05Security Safeguards

• Encryption in transit (TLS) and protection for sensitive data at rest
• Role-based access, staff training, and least-privilege handling
• Monitoring, patching, and a documented incident-response procedure

06Retention Periods

• Account & profile — while active; deleted within 30 days after confirmed account removal
• Chat & media — during use; erased on deletion unless law requires retention
• Payment records — up to 7 years for financial and tax obligations
• Security & compliance logs — up to 3 years
• Support & privacy mail — up to 2 years after case closure
• Advertising preferences — until opt-out or deletion, then purged within 30 days

07Disclosures & Processors

We may share information with:

• Infrastructure & tooling vendors — hosting, analytics, support, and moderation
• Payment processors — in-app purchases and subscriptions
• Advertising partners — only where allowed and subject to your choices
• Authorities — when legally required, or to protect users, including CSAM/CSAE cases

We do not sell personal information under the CCPA, VCDPA, or comparable laws.

Right to know: You may ask whether Nelo shares your data, with whom, why, and for how long. Email winchestermalcolm68@gmail.com with subject "Right to Know About Data Sharing", or use Settings > Privacy & Security > Data Sharing Request. After identity verification, we respond within 15 business days.

08Cross-Border Processing

Data may be processed outside your country of residence using Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards. We may update this policy; material changes will show in the Last Updated date and, when appropriate, in-app notice.

09Children & Teens

Nelo is not aimed at children under 13. Sign-up requires a minimum age of 13; users under 18 may need parental consent in some regions. Paid and mature features require 18+. 10Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, consent withdrawal, disclosure details, and opt-out from targeted advertising. Email winchestermalcolm68@gmail.com — we respond within 30 days, or sooner if local law requires.

Account deletion: Settings > Account > Delete Account, or see nelo-remove-account.html. Deletion removes profile, chat history, and media except where retention is legally required.
